To qualify for the CWC Final is not everyone’s cup of tea because the teams need to perform consistently in the group stage and then win the knockout matches to make it to the grand game. Cricket World Cups have been taking place since 1975. Multiple nations have won the trophy, but quite surprisingly, the following five Test-playing nations have never qualified for the final.

    1. South Africa are yet to qualify for Cricket World Cup Final

South Africa made their Cricket World Cup debut in 1992. They have qualified for the semifinals four times but have always fallen short. In the previous edition of the mega event, they were eliminated in the first round.

    3. Afghanistan

Afghanistan have played in two Cricket World Cups so far and have been eliminated in the group stage only. They finished last in the 2019 CWC points table.

    4. Ireland

Like Bangladesh, Ireland qualified for the Super 8 round in the 2007 World Cup. It was their best ever performance. The Irish team failed to make it to the mega event in 2019.

    5. Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe were the earliest debutants among the five names present on this list. They participated in the 1983 World Cup and have appeared in eight events after that. Their best finish was qualifying for the Super 6 round in 1999 and 2003.
