Virat Kohli is the most successful batter in IPL history in terms of runs scored. No other player has scored more runs than the Royal Challengers Bangalore batter in the history of the Indian Premier League. Kohli also owns the record for scoring the highest centuries in a single season of the league, having scored four centuries in the 2016 edition of the Indian Premier League.
It is the dream of every bowler to dismiss Kohli once in the IPL. Kohli has been playing in the IPL since 2008, and in 16 seasons, only seven bowlers have managed to dismiss him on the first ball itself. Here’s a list of those seven names:

The most recent name to feature on the list is Trent Boult. The Rajasthan Royals speedster dismissed the RCB skipper for a duck in the ongoing RCB vs RR match.
2. J Suchith dismissed Virat Kohli for a golden duck in IPL 2022
In the previous RCB ‘Go Green’ match, SRH spinner J Suchith dismissed Kohli on the first ball as well. He was the first uncapped spinner to achieve the feat.
3. Marco Jansen dismissed Virat Kohli for a golden duck in IPL 2022
Virat Kohli had a forgettable outing in the 2022 season. He recorded two golden ducks against SRH. Marco Jansen had dismissed him in their first meeting.
4. Dushmantha Chameera
Sri Lankan pacer Dushmantha Chameera did not allow Kohli to open his account in the match between RCB and LSG. Kohli got caught out off Chameera’s bowling on the first ball that he faced.
5. Nathan Coulter-Nile
April 23 has been an unlucky date for Kohli. In 2017 also, he recorded a golden duck on this date, with KKR’s Nathan Coulter-Nile taking his wicket.
6. Sandeep Sharma
Swing bowler Sandeep Sharma has troubled Virat a lot in his IPL career. The right-arm pacer dismissed him for a golden duck in the 2014 season.
7. Ashish Nehra
The first bowler to dismiss Kohli for a golden duck was Ashish Nehra. The left-arm pacer achieved the feat in 2008. He is the coach of Gujarat Titans now.
