Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s spell against the Proteas in 2015 is one of the most expensive spells in ODI cricket history. It was at the Wankhede Stadium that Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers took the full toll on the Indian bowling attack. Bhuvi did not have a great outing in this game.

Hailing from the Netherlands, Philippe had a disappointing day against the English batters. England has a strong batting squad and they might trouble a few more teams in the future.

This match was at the 2019 World Cup. Rashid Khan is a terrific bowler but he had no answers for Eoin Morgan in this game. The former English skipper broke many records in this encounter.

Yet again, this was also against England. While most of the English batters did well against Wahab Riaz, it was Alex Hales who had the best outing with a daddy hundred against Pakistan.

Adam Zampa is the latest entrant to this list of most expensive spells in ODI cricket history. Zampa, despite being in decent form, could not get his control against the likes of David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen. Hence, he had to join this list.
1) Michael Lewis – 113 runs in 10 overs (0 wickets) vs South Africa
One of the most memorable games was the chase by South Africa against Australia in 2006. The Australian bowler was a part of this game. He had to claim this record in that encounter. It was equalled by Zampa recently.
