7 popular players who played for more than 1 defunct IPL team

IPL is one of the most famous cricket tournaments in the world. The competition started with eight teams, but over the years, there have been changes in the number of teams. Five teams, namely Deccan Chargers, Pune Warriors, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Rising Pune Supergiant and Gujarat Lions no longer exist in the league.

Kochi played the least number of seasons (1), while Supergiant and Gujarat played two seasons each. Pune Warriors played from 2011 to 2013, and Deccan Chargers were a part of the league from 2008 to 2012. Only Chargers won the league from the above-mentioned names.

Interestingly, there were some common players between the five franchises. Here’s a list of seven such players:

    1. Irfan Pathan – Played for Rising Pune Supergiant and Gujarat Lions in IPL

Irfan Pathan achieved a rare feat of playing for two new teams in two years. He joined Rising Pune Supergiant in their debut season and moved to Gujarat Lions in 2017. He played his last match in the league for the Lions.
