    One of the major reasons behind their success is that the team is quite active in the trading window. Over the years, they have signed some big names directly from other franchises. Here’s a list of nine such Indian players:

    1. Mumbai Indians signed Parthiv Patel in 2015 trading window

    Former Indian wicket-keeper batter Parthiv Patel moved from RCB to MI in the 2015 trading window. He won the IPL 2015 and 2017 trophies with MI before returning to RCB in 2018.

    2. Vinay Kumar

    Mumbai Indians were very active in the 2015 trading window. They also signed R Vinay Kumar from KKR ahead of the 2015 season.

    3. Mumbai Indians signed Unmukt Chand in 2015 trading window

    Another Indian player whom MI signed through the trading window in 2015 was Unmukt Chand. He has moved to the USA now.

    4. Zaheer Khan

    Veteran Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan moved from RCB to MI before the 2009 season. RCB signed Robin Uthappa in exchange.

    5. Shikhar Dhawan joined Mumbai Indians via a trade in 2009

    Mumbai Indians also had a trade with Delhi Daredevils in 2009. They traded out Ashish Nehra from the squad and signed Shikhar Dhawan.

    There was a three-team deal in IPL 2009. Jaydev Shah moved from RR to MI, Pankaj Singh moved from RCB to RR, while Gaurav Dhiman switched from MI to RCB.

    7. Dinesh Karthik joined Mumbai Indians through trading window

    Current Indian wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik moved from Punjab Kings to MI in 2011. He helped MI win their maiden trophy in 2013.

    8. Pragyan Ojha

    Interestingly, Deccan Chargers traded out former Purple Cap winner Pragyan Ojha to MI in 2012. Ojha performed decently for the Mumbai-based franchise.

    9. Dhawal Kulkarni

    The latest name to feature on the list is Dhawal Kulkarni. He was traded from RR to MI in 2020. Kulkarni won the IPL 2020 title with MI.
