To get out for a duck is the worst nightmare of any batsman. After working hard for many years, a player gets a place in the international team. If he loses his wicket without contributing anything to his team’s total, the entire nation gets disappointed. Although no batsman wishes to go back to the pavilion without scoring a single run, sometimes a lack of concentration or even a dream delivery from the bowler can force the batsman to lose his wicket for a duck.

Suresh Raina is one of the most selfless players in cricket history. The left-handed batsman played a crucial role in India’s 2011 World Cup win. However, his downfall began when the bowlers learned that he is uncomfortable against the short deliveries. Raina soon lost his place in the team as his frequency of ducks increased. Raina recorded 14 ducks in 194 ODI innings.

#7 Zaheer Khan – 14 ducks

Zaheer Khan was a tail-ender batsman, so one cannot blame him much even if he loses his wicket without scoring a single run. The tail-enders find it difficult to trouble the opposition bowlers because they have specialized in bowling only. Khan often tried to play aggressively in the slog overs, which is why his number of ducks are very high. Zaheer registered 14 ducks in the 96 innings that he played for India.
