Anil Kumble has a Test century to his name, but in the limited-overs format, Kumble rarely managed to achieve any success with the bat. He batted in 134 ODI innings for India and scored 903 runs. He could never score a half-century. Instead, he recorded 18 ducks in ODI cricket.

Javagal Srinath was the cornerstone of the Indian pace bowling attack in the 1990s. He played 229 ODI matches for India. Unlike Kumble, Javagal managed to score one fifty for the team in ODIs. However, he registered the same number of ducks as the Indian leg-spinner.

Sachin Tendulkar’s legendary career has ensured that he stays at the number one position in every list that talks about the batting records. While all the names mentioned above have not even played 300 ODI innings each, Sachin batted in 452 ODI innings and aggregated 18,426 runs that included 49 centuries. Unfortunately, in 20 matches, Tendulkar departed to the pavilion before opening his account.
