Rajasthan Royals signed star Indian off-spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin on the first day of the IPL 2022 Auction. Ashwin, who previously played for the Chennai Super Kings, the Rising Pune Supergiant, the Delhi Capitals and the Punjab Kings, will now don the RR jersey for the first time in his IPL career.
Soon after, the Rajasthan Royals signed Ashwin, many fans noticed that he is on the same squad as England cricket team’s wicket-keeper batter Jos Buttler. Many fans would remember that when Ashwin represented the Punjab Kings in the IPL, he once ran out Jos Buttler at the non-striker’s end before executing the delivery.
Due to that dismissal, there was a huge controversy across the cricketing world. Ashwin and Buttler both have expressed their excitement to play together for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022. A fan recently asked Ashwin on Twitter if he would mankad Buttler in a practice match.

As mentioned ahead, both Buttler and Ashwin seem to have forgotten what happened between them in the past and are ready to make a new start in IPL 2022. Commenting on Rajasthan Royals’ decision to sign Ashwin, Buttler said:
“Hey Ash, Jos here. Don’t worry, I am inside the crease. Can’t wait to see you in pink for the Royals. Look forward to sharing a dressing room with you. Halla Bol.”
Ravichandran also had a message for Jos as he said:
“It’s going to be a lot of fun and most importantly, looking forward to sharing the dressing room with Jos, how good is that going to be?”
