With the aim of working on their past mistakes, the Lucknow Super Giants will enter the IPL 2023 Auction. They will target some players who can fill in the weak areas of their squad. Here is a list of four players whom the Lucknow Super Giants could target.

    1. Lucknow Super Giants could target Kane Williamson

Last season, LSG had a fantastic opening pair featuring KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock. However, the number three batting position was not settled. They tried Evin Lewis, but he could not impress much. Someone like Kane Williamson who generally bats at that position could prove to be a good option.

    2. Lucknow Super Giants could target Jaydev Unadkat

Left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat is a genuine wicket-taker. He does not have the pace of Umran Malik, but his accuracy and variations help him succeed. Unadkat can be a decent addition to the LSG pace attack.

    3. Jhye Richardson

LSG have released their two overseas pacers – Andrew Tye and Dushmantha Chameera – ahead of the IPL 2023 Auction. To fill in one of those two positions, they can go for one more fast bowler, with Australia’s Jhye Richardson being a good option.

    4. Mayank Agarwal

If LSG fail to get Kane Williamson, they can go for Mayank Agarwal. He formed a brilliant combination with KL Rahul during their time at Punjab Kings. Agarwal can take the place of Manish Pandey in LSG’s batting lineup for IPL 2023.

Many fans think that LSG may go hard for Ben Stokes as well. However, it seems unlikely that they will bid big for him because they have many talented all-rounders.
