CSK had a decent outing at the auctions. However, they did not nail too many of their targets. Here, we take a look at the list of three foreigners CSK bid for but could not sign in the IPL 2026 Auctions.
CSK has a strong overseas contingent. However, they would have liked one more established name that can add value to the sid,e and hence, they might not be too satisfied.
1) Cameron Green
CSK could have gone hard for Green because he adds value in both departments. The Aussie is a generational talent, and CSK could have retained him for a few more cycles. Hence, it was a bad move by them to not stretch their budget for him.
2) Jason Holder is one of the foreigners CSK bid for but could not sign in the IPL 2026 Auctions
The West Indian all-rounder is of a similar profile to Jamie Overton. Hence, it was a surprise that CSK had him in mind. Nevertheless, Gujarat Titans signed him at the end.
3) Mustafizur Rahman
It was a surprise that CSK went so far for the Bangladeshi pacer. The team wanted a lower-order hitter more, and could have spent more money there. Nevertheless, the franchise did not sign the cricketer and that turned out to be a good decision for them.
