India’s T20I squad could undergo a few changes after the upcoming T20 World Cup. Here, we take a look at the list of three Indians who could be dropped after the 2026 T20 World Cup if they fail.
India could prepare for the next edition and hence, some of the players might have to exit the squad. This could speed up if these players are not in good form.
1) Sanju Samson
Sanju Samson is in poor form, and he could be sidelined for Ishan Kishan in the playing XI. If Sanju does get a chance and if he does not do well, it could be curtains for him in the Indian T20I Team. He has not been doing well, and the selectors could lose patience.
2) Rinku Singh is one of the Indians who could be dropped after the 2026 T20 World Cup if they fail
While Rinku has age on his side, the rope could be shorter. He made a comeback to the Indian squad. As a finisher, he must do well with his tasks. If he has a few bad games, he might be out of the side. India could try some new options before the next edition of the event.
3) Kuldeep Yadav
In the last few months, Kuldeep is not in good form. It could be possible that he is not in the playing XI for the upcoming event. However, he might get a few games on turning tracks. If he does not do well, he could be dropped. India would rather try Harshit Rana to develop an all-rounder for the next edition.
