AB de Villiers needs no introduction to this game. It’s been a few years since he retired from cricket, but still, fans miss him and regard him as one of the best that the game has seen. The South African star was at his best when it came to hitting the ball.

He had all the shots in the books, as well as those that were seen for the first time. De Villiers was one of the few batters that had the ability to hit shots to all parts of the ground, which earned him the nickname “Mr. 360.”

That is why many bowlers pick him as the most difficult batter to bowl at. He played in the top order and also as a finisher for his teams throughout his career. But who is the batter that AB de Villiers himself feels is the best finisher of all time?

He said, “I see always a big debate going on between who is the best finisher between me and Dhoni; we can settle it now. I will say that MS Dhoni is the best finisher ever. I’m very happy to give credit where it’s due.”

Furthermore, the South African star also lauded MS Dhoni for his consistency despite retiring from the game in 2019. He said that he loves to watch the CSK skipper bat. He also pointed out how MSD hit a six in the final of the 2011 World Cup to seal the deal and lead India to their second World Cup title. Dhoni led CSK to their fifth title in 2023 and confirmed that he would be back for the next season.
