An individual, on X (formerly Twitter), fraudulently employed Adam Gilchrist’s name to claim that the former cricketer had asserted that the BCCI was resting Virat Kohli in ODIs to protect Sachin Tendulkar’s record of the most ODI centuries.

Under Gilchrist’s purported name, the individual disseminated a fabricated quote: “Kohli is being rested on a regular basis these days, I think they want Sachin’s record to be unbeaten” In response, Gilchrist stated, “I never made such remarks.”
