As per a report by PTI, Tendulkar has made up his mind to join a new team after a lack of opportunities at the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). The left-arm fast bowler made his domestic cricket debut for Mumbai in 2021 during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He played a couple of matches in that competition but did not get selected in the playing XI after that competition. A statement from SRT sports management has confirmed that Arjun is looking for a new team now because of the lack of chances. Here’s what the SRT sports management stated:

“Getting maximum game time on the ground is important for Arjun at this juncture of his career. We believe that the shift will improve the probability of Arjun featuring in more competitive matches. He is embarking on a new phase of his cricketing career.”

Goa Cricket Association is interested in signing Arjun Tendulkar

Goa Cricket Association President Suraj Lotlikar told PTI today that the team needs a left-arm fast-bowling option, which is why they will consider Tendulkar for that role. However, the left-arm fast bowler will have to prove himself in the pre-season before being eligible to play for the main team in the domestic season.

We have been looking out for left-hand bowling talent [and to] also add players to the middle order with multiple skills. In this context, we invited Arjun Tendulkar to join the Goa side,” said Suraj Lotlikar.

It will be interesting to see how Arjun performs for his new domestic team. The 2022/23 domestic season will start soon, with multiple competitions set to take place in the near future.
