“Babar Azam?”- Australian player Peter Siddle gives unexpected reply when asked who is Pakistan’s Prime Minister

The Australian men’s cricket team is currently on a historic tour of Pakistan, and the series between the two teams, named the Benaud-Qadir Trophy, will start from Friday in Rawalpindi. Babar Azam will captain the Pakistan men’s cricket team, but according to Australia’s cricketer Peter Siddle, Azam is the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

There was a Q & A session involving the Australian cricketers recently. A clip from it has surfaced online wherein the Australian cricketers were asked who were the Prime Ministers of New Zealand and Pakistan. Most of them guessed it wrong. Pat Cummins and Usman Khawaja were among the few players who named them right.

When Peter Siddle was asked the Prime Minister of New Zealand, he said he had no clue, and when he was asked Pakistan’s Prime Minister, he jokingly replied: “Babar Azam.” You can watch the video right here:

My gut is telling me Australia will win the series: Shane Watson feels Aussies will beat Babar Azam and co.

Former Australian cricket team captain Shane Watson recently gave his opinions on the upcoming series between Pakistan and Australia. He believes that the visitors will prevail in the upcoming matches. Here’s what Watson said during a chat with ICC:

“My gut is telling me Australia will win the series if they score enough runs, as I believe their bowlers will be good enough to put the Pakistan batters under a lot of pressure.”

The Benaud-Qadir Trophy is a part of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle, which is why both Australia and Pakistan will be keen to win the series and bolster their chances of a place in the final. It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top.
