Eventually, the other players came to separate the three cricketers in the middle. After the match ended, Parag went to shake hands with Harshal Patel, but the latter refused the handshake.

During a recent appearance on Rooter Sports’ stream, Riyan Parag shared the details of what exactly led to the heated exchange between the three cricketers. Parag said that it all started back in IPL 2021 during the league stage. In one of the league games, Harshal gave a sendoff to Parag after picking up his wicket.

Parag did not notice it then, but he saw it in replay. So, when the Rajasthan Royals all-rounder hit some big shots off Patel’s bowling, he decided to give it back. However, it did not go down well with Patel.

Riyan Parag reveals what Mohammed Siraj told him after the first innings ended

Mohammed Siraj came to Parag when he was returning to the Rajasthan Royals dressing room in the IPL 2022 league stage. Siraj reminded him that he was a young kid and should behave accordingly. Here’s what he was quoted as saying during the Rooter stream by Cricxstacy:

“I replicated his hand gesture and told him to go back to the bowling mark. I didn’t say any cuss word or anything, just repeated Patel’s action. Later when I stopped before going back to the Royals shed, it was Siraj who told me, ‘Oye, oye.. bachha hai bachche ki tarah rah (you’re a kid, behave like one).”
