Former South African skipper AB de Villiers showered praise on the Indian duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant for their 222-run partnership in Birmingham against England. Jadeja and Pant united forces when the Indian team’s score was 98/5. They added 222 runs to the total, and when Pant lost his wicket to Joe Root, the score was 320/6.
While the partnership between Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja happened two days ago in Birmingham, AB de Villiers missed the live action. In case you did not know, the former South African skipper was playing in the Icon Series, where he teamed up with the likes of Ash Barty, Yuvraj Singh, Ricky Ponting and Brian Lara in a golf match.
They were a part of the Rest of the World team playing against team USA. The American team won the battle. Soon after reaching home, de Villiers watched the highlights of the Test match between India and England. AB de Villiers will host an AMA session on Twitter soon
The former South African skipper announced his retirement from all formats of cricket, including IPL, in 2018. As per reports, he will join the Royal Challengers Bangalore as a mentor in the coming seasons, but now, he takes part in promotional activities off the field.
A recent tweet on his timeline suggests that de Villiers will soon host an AMA session for his new play-and-earn cricket game.
