The third and final ODI game between Bangladesh’s women’s team and India’s women’s team has ended with a nail-biting finish. It saw both teams put everything into the series decider. But eventually, none of the teams won the game, which ended in a tie.
At one stage, Bangladesh was ahead while India pulled things back in their chase. But in the end, the hosts dismissed six Indian batters for just 34 runs and got all out for 225 runs in 4.3 overs. It helped Bangladesh tie the series, and it was their best performance against India in a bilateral series.
This was the first time in the history of women’s cricket that Bangladesh has secured a series draw, which is not less than a win. On the other hand, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur lashed out at the umpiring decision and said that bad umpiring stopped them from winning the game.
With the series tied at 1-1, both teams looked to win the final game. Batting first, the hosts started well and were at 164/2, but the Indian bowlers did an amazing job and restricted the hosts to just 225/4 in the 50 overs.
In reply, India was looking good when Harmanpreet and Harleen Deol were going strong. But the Indian captain was given out LBW in the 34th over by Nahida Akter. Kaur attempted to play a sweep and was given out. She was not happy with the decision and hit the stumps with her bat in anger, and she was seen saying some words to the on-field umpire while going back.

After the game, the Indian captain pointed out the umpiring and said that the umpiring was below par, and everyone was surprised. Kaur took a dig and said, “The next time whenever we are coming to Bangladesh, we’ll make sure we have to deal with this type of umpiring.”
She also added that the game was in India’s hands, and India did well in their chase, but because of some decisions, the game was gone. Kaur concluded, “As I mentioned earlier some pathetic umpiring was done we are really disappointed about some decisions given by the umpires.”
