Pat Cummins led his team brilliantly and hit the winning runs to take his team 1-0 up in the five-match series. The visitors won the game with only two wickets in hand thanks to an unbeaten 55-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Cummins (44) and Nathan Lyon (16).

Indian veteran broadcaster Harsha Bhogle praised both teams for producing such a brilliant game of cricket. England were dominated the game at one stage when Australia needed 54 runs to win with only two wickets in hands. But the hosts missed some chances, which proved to be the game-changer in the end.

One of the Indian fans tried to take a dig at Team India on his appreciation post and wrote, “They are worthy opponents. Indians can only update Instagram stories.” Well, Harsha, who is known for his calm and sensible attitude, responded to the troll in his own style. He wrote that India is a quality team, which is why they reached the final of the World Test Championship.

Though Team India has made to the WTC final twice in two editions. But are yet to get their hands on the championship. That is why Harsha’s reply sounds a bit defensive. India hasn’t won any major ICC tournament in the last decade and has faced a backlash in big tournaments. However, they have a golden chance to shut down the critics and win the 2023 World Cup at home. But it will take something special to do it.
