Fans should note that between these two Test hundreds there was an IPL season, where Ravindra Jadeja was the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team. Jadeja could not handle the captaincy pressure well. His personal performance was impacted negatively.

Shedding some light on his numbers in IPL 2022, Jadeja scored 116 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 118.37. With the ball, he scalped five wickets at an average of 49.60. It was one of the most disappointing seasons of his IPL career, but Jadeja made a big change to his lifestyle after he got injured.

From best to worst to best: The Ravindra Jadeja story

Earlier today, Ravindra Jadeja resumed on his overnight score of 83 runs and completed his first Test hundred outside India. He eventually lost his wicket for 104 runs as James Anderson rattled his stumps.

Soon after the innings ended, the journalist posted two tweets, which read:

“He left the CSK camp because he needed a break, shut himself from the world because he needed time for himself. It was one of the worst patches of his professional career. Everybody had an opinion. A friend tells me, he just went away into the forests, no network, no distractions.”
