Arjun Tendulkar was spotted warming up ahead of the match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022. Since MI have no chance of qualifying for the playoffs, fans expected that the team management would try out their benched players, including Tendulkar in their last league game. However, the same did not happen.

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma informed at the toss that they have made two changes to the playing XI. Hrithik Shokeen replaced Sanjay Yadav because of an injury, while Dewald Brevis returned to the playing XI, replacing Tristan Stubbs, who struggled to get going.

Many fans felt that Arjun would finally make his IPL debut tonight because he had been warming up. Cricbuzz reported that the fans had a wrong assumption as Tendulkar was just helping someone.

“Arjun with the tape was not about his run-up. Usually bowlers go to start of their run-up to mark their yards, but Arjun was on the pitch side and just helping someone,” Cricbuzz reported.

Arjun Tendulkar might make his IPL debut next year

Even the Chennai Super Kings benched U-19 World Cup winner Rajvardhan Hangargekar for the full season even though they had been knocked out of the IPL. MS Dhoni informed at the toss yesterday that they want him to improve him in some areas before handing him his maiden IPL cap.

It should not be a surprise if the Mumbai Indians retain Arjun Tendulkar for the next season and give him his maiden IPL cap next year. In case you did not know, Arjun is a left-arm fast bowler who can also score runs with the bat. As far as tonight’s match is concerned, Mumbai Indians can avoid finishing 10th on the points table if they chase the target set by Delhi Capitals inside 9 overs.
