Martin Guptill, who usually handles the opening slot for the New Zealand side, has been holding the record of the highest ever individual ODI score while Batting. His humongous inning of 237 runs off just 163 balls against West Indies in 2015 is a proof of his incredible Cricketing career. This inning consisted of 24 fours and 11 sixes with a massive Batting strike-rate of 145.39.

2.Rohit Sharma (264)

Rohit Sharma has been wonderfully handling the opening slot for the Indian side since the last few years alongside Shikhar Dhawan or KL Rahul. He has given so many good starts to the side and has even created some records for him. His inning of 264 runs against Sri Lanka is the one such example of it. This mighty inning came during the 4th ODI match of the series, where he smashed 33 fours and nine sixes along with his Batting strike-rate being 152.60.
