He achieved this record during 2015 when the Kiwis and the Sri Lankan side played an ODI series. His inning of 170 runs of just 99 balls comprised of 14 fours and nine sixes helped his side post a massive score of 360 on the board.

The highest ODI score while Batting at number 8 is being held by Chris Woakes since 2016. The English cricketer reached this record during the game against Sri Lanka on 21st June 2016. His massive inning of 95 runs not out in just 92 balls helped his side in winning that game. Even though he only managed to smash four boundaries, he kept the scoreboard going by scoring runs at the strike-rate of 103.26.
