Shahbaz Ahmed’s father Ahmed Jan recently shared a story from the early phase of his son’s cricketing career. Shahbaz was a bright student, which is why his father and even his college’s professors thought that he should not take up cricket as a profession. They felt that he could do a better job in another profession.

However, Shahbaz believed in himself and started his cricketing journey. He had to work hard for years, but his life changed after he got a contract from the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. After his impressive all-round show for RCB, Ahmed has become a popular player and has thousands of followers on social media.

He has been with the Royal Challengers Bangalore for multiple seasons now. Since he is a left-arm spin bowler and a left-handed middle-order batter, Ahmed has been able to give some much-needed balance to the RCB playing XI.
