IPL is one of the most popular T20 tournaments on earth. The BCCI started the competition in 2008, with eight city-based franchises competing for the championship. Royal Challengers Bangalore made their debut in 2008. They are one of the five franchises to have been a part of every IPL season.

Despite having strong squads on paper, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have never been able to win the trophy. They have qualified for the playoffs eight times but fallen short on all occasions. Some of the star players released by the team went on to become champions with other franchises. Here’s a list of five such capped Indian cricketers.

1. Varun Aaron won IPL 2022 with Gujarat Titans

Fast bowler Varun Aaron was a part of the RCB squad from 2014 to 2016. He made it to the 2016 final, where RCB lost to SunRisers Hyderabad. Aaron won the championship earlier this year with the Gujarat Titans.
