Many fans reckon that SRH have one of the best pace-bowling attacks in IPL 2022. They have not used Kartik Tyagi’s services yet, highlighting the depth they have in their squad. In an interview with Sportskeeda, Dale Steyn was asked if he expects experienced SRH stars Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan to make it to the Indian squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

Steyn replied affirmatively and said:

“I certainly hope that they do! Both of them are bowling fantastically well. I was very pleased when I heard after the auction that both Bhuvi and Nattu would continue with us. They are certainly two guys we were interested in leading up to the auction. We had our pre-auction meetings where we discussed the players we wanted and wrote down their names.”

Dale Steyn thinks Umran Malik will play for the Indian cricket team soon

In the same interview, Steyn also spoke about the rising star of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, Umran Malik. The fast bowler from Jammu and Kashmir joined the Sunrisers Hyderabad as a net bowler last year. He received a place in the SRH squad after T Natarajan tested positive for COVID-19 in the UAE leg of the competition.

Malik impressed straightaway and was retained by SRH ahead of IPL Auction 2022 even though he did not have much experience under his belt. The express pacer struggled with his line and length in the initial games of IPL 2022. But the SRH management has backed him, and Malik has done a better job in recent matches. Steyn thinks Malik will represent India soon.
