Chennai Super Kings team has always been the talk of the town in IPL seasons. While in most of the tournaments, they are in the trends because of their success, this year the trend has changed a bit because of CSK’s captaincy change. Fans were shocked to see MS Dhoni step down as the captain of the Chennai-based franchise ahead of IPL 2022.

Just two days before their first match, CSK announced that Ravindra Jadeja will lead the team. Jadeja did not have a great outing as the Chennai skipper. He lost his first four matches as CSK captain. Soon after, he handed over the captaincy back to MS Dhoni.

Unfortunately, Jadeja suffered a rib injury while playing for the Chennai Super Kings against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He missed the match against the Delhi Capitals and is now ruled out of IPL 2022. According to reports, there is something wrong between Jadeja and the CSK team management. However, the team’s CEO Kasi Viswanathan has trashed all the rumors.

“He is injured, nothing else. No one from the management side is unhappy with him. He, unfortunately, is injured and that’s why we decided to let him go,” the CSK CEO told Indian Express.

CSK CEO replies to question of Chennai Super Kings unfollowing Ravindra Jadeja

Social media users have pointed out that the official Instagram account of CSK has unfollowed Ravindra Jadeja on the photo-sharing site. When asked about that, Kasi Viswanathan replied:

“I don’t have any idea. I am not at all into social media.”

Former Indian cricket team opener Aakash Chopra recently gave his opinion on this controversy and said that we may see something similar to what happened between Chennai Super Kings and Suresh Raina in IPL 2021. He felt the fans may not see Jadeja in the CSK squad from next year onwards.
