Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of the rising stars in Indian cricket. The left-handed batter came into the spotlight while playing for the country in the ICC U-19 World Cup 2020. Jaiswal played an integral role in India’s journey to the final as he scored heaps of runs for the Boys in Blue. Unfortunately, India lost to Bangladesh U-19s in the summit clash of that competition.

In an interview with ESPNCricinfo, Yashavi Jaiswal discussed his journey from bottom to top. Once upon a time, he used to help sell pani puri near Azad Maidan to make ends meet, but now he earns in crores. Here’s what he had to say:

“The journey I’ve had, that will stay with me for life. And that will always give me confidence. It’s not that I have got something now [financially], and so I will think differently. I still think the same and I stay the same. I haven’t made any extraordinary changes in my life, and I am not going to either.”
