India recorded a big win in that game and won the series quite comfortably by 2-0. In this article now, we will look at India’s playing XI from that Test match, and where those players are now.

Batters – Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni (c and wk)

India played with a star-studded batting lineup in the match. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rohit Sharma scored a century each, while Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli scored a fifty. Pujara was the top-scorer with a knock of 113 runs. India scored 495 runs in their first innings and won by an innings and 126 runs.

Bowlers – Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pragyan Ojha

The Indian team played with four bowlers in that match. Ravichandran Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha were the two spin-bowling options. Ojha won the Man of the Match award for taking 10 wickets in the match. Surprisingly though, it also proved to be the last Test of Ojha’s career.

Shami and Kumar were new to the Indian team in that series. Both fast bowlers did not bowl much in the game because the pitch was favoring the spinners. Interestingly, Sachin Tendulkar bowled two overs in the match and conceded eight runs.

Ashwin and Shami still play Test cricket for the Indian team. Kumar has lost his place, while Ojha has announced retirement.
