Believe it or not, but Team India have played their last T20I match before the mega event. It was a double Super Over against Afghanistan, where the Men in Blue recorded a memorable win. Captain Rohit Sharma mentioned after the series that they have zeroed in 8-10 players for India T20 World Cup 2024 squad, but a few other spots are still open. Here’s a predicted Indian 15-man squad.

Batters in India T20 World Cup 2024 squad – Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jitesh Sharma (wk) and Rinku Singh

Rohit Sharma has confirmed that he will lead the Indian team in T20Is. He will likely be the captain in T20 World Cup also, with Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav continuing from the 2023 World Cup. Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar will likely be the other two all-rounders. Dube was Man of the Series against Afghanistan, while Sundar offers a right-arm off-spin option.

Bowlers – Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi

Jasprit Bumrah should return to lead India’s bowling attack in the mega event. Mohammed Shami, who won Purple Cap in IPL 2023 and had a great World Cup, should partner with him. Arshdeep Singh should feature in the squad as well because he is a left-arm pace bowler. Ravi Bishnoi should complete the squad as the lead leg-spinner.
