U19 World Cup 2016 happened eight years ago in Bangladesh. The 2024 edition of the mega event is currently underway in South Africa, and it happens once in every two years. The 2016 edition was eight years ago, and some of the players like Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed and Washington Sundar have already played many matches for India at the senior level.

Sarfaraz Khan is likely to make his Test debut soon, while Anmolpreet Singh, Ricky Bhui and Armaan Jaffer are still grinding in domestic cricket.
All rounders of India in U19 World Cup 2016 – Mahipal Lomror and Washington Sundar
India had two spin-bowling all-rounders in their squad, namely Mahipal Lomror and W Sundar. Lomror plays for RCB in IPL, while Sundar has become of the top all-format spin-bowling all-rounders of the Indian cricket team now.
Bowlers – Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Mayank Dagar, Rahul Batham, Amandeep Khare, Shubham Mavi and Zeeshan Ansari
India played with seven specialist pacers in U19 World Cup 2016. Left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed led the charge with Avesh Khan. Mayank Dagar led the sin attack. Khan and Ahmed have played international cricket, while Dagar has joined RCB in IPL now. Mavi, Khare, Ansari and Batham are yet to make it big.
