IPL 2018 : kusal Perera turns down offer to play for SRH in IPL 2018

The Ball tampering issue that happened during the third test match between Australia and South Africa in Cape Town has been the hot topic in cricketing circle. This issue had various effect on the players involved in the issue. With one of the biggest t20 tournament IPL on its way, the IPL governing council chairman Rajiv Shukla on Wednesday said that the two Australians(Steve Smith and David Warner) will not be allowed to play at all this year.

Looking on replacement for Warner ,Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) had approached Kusal Perera from Sri Lanka to join the squad for the 2018 season. It is reported that the Sri Lankan wicket keeper batsman had turned down the offer and is preferring to participate in a local tournament.

This was clear from Daniel Alexander’s, administrator at islandcricket.lk, tweet that goes like “Sri Lanka’s Kusal Janith Perera has reportedly rejected an IPL offer (Warner replacement) to play domestic first-class tournament to work on Test recall. @KusalJPerera #SriLanka #LKA”
