IPL 2022 Auction Live Telecast will start at 12:00 PM IST tomorrow. The live coverage will begin at 11:00 AM IST on the Star Sports Network with a special episode of BYJU’s Cricket Live. For the first time in more than 10 years, a total of 10 teams will participate in an IPL Auction. The last time 10 teams participated in an auction was back in 2011.
At that time, two new teams, namely Pune Warriors and Kochi Tuskers Kerala joined the league. This time also two new franchises, namely Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have joined the Indian Premier League. Fans are excited to see which players join the two new teams.
Back in 2011, the BCCI did not have a draft system for the new teams which created a little imbalance. However, this year, they had a draft, where the Lucknow Super Giants signed KL Rahul, Ravi Bishnoi and Marcus Stoinis. On the other side, the Gujarat Titans roped in the trio of Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill.
