Kochi Tuskers Kerala are the only franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League to have played just a single season. They debuted in the year 2011, and it proved to be their last season. The Kerala-based franchise did not qualify for the playoffs in the only season that they played.

Mahela Jayawardene and Parthiv Patel were the two men who captained the Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the IPL. Not many fans would remember that the following five players also played for the Tuskers in their only IPL season.

1. Kedar Jadhav – Played 6 matches for Kochi Tuskers Kerala

Indian all-rounder Kedar Jadhav played six matches for the Kerala-based franchise, where he got an opportunity to bat in four innings. Jadhav scored 18 runs for the team at a strike rate of less than 80.

2. VVS Laxman – Played 3 matches for Kochi Tuskers Kerala

Retired Indian batter VVS Laxman played his last IPL season for the Tuskers in 2011. The right-handed batter got a chance to play in three games, where he scored 44 runs at a striker ate of 104.76.

3. Thisara Perera

Former Sri Lankan captain Thisara Perera made his IPL debut for the Chennai Super Kings in 2010 and then switched to the Kochi Tuskers in 2011. The all-rounder played four games, scoring 23 runs and picking up two wickets.

4. Ramesh Powar

Former Indian off-spinner Ramesh Powar represented the Kochi-based franchise in five matches, where he bowled 12 overs and took two wickets. Powar had an economy rate of 9.33.

5. Michael Klinger

Former Australian opener Michael Klinger came into the spotlight while playing in the Champions League T20 competition. Soon after, he earned his maiden IPL contract from the Kochi Tuskers Kerala. While Klinger received four chances to play for the IPL franchise, he managed only 73 runs at an average of less than 20.
