Rohit Sharma gave his views on his opening partner Ishan Kishan’s 42-ball 35 against the West Indies cricket team. The 3-match T20I series between the Indian cricket team and the West Indies cricket team got underway earlier today in Kolkata, where the home team emerged victorious by six wickets.

It was a combined team effort from the Indian cricket team stars as the team cruised to a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series. Debutant Ravi Bishnoi was adjudged the Player of the Match for his brilliant spell of 2/17. Rohit Sharma was impressive with a 18-ball 40 at the top, while Venkatesh Iyer finished the match in style with a six.

Speaking at the post-match presentation, Rohit Sharma was asked about his views on the batting performance of Ishan Kishan. The southpaw opened the innings with Sharma and managed only 35 runs off 42 deliveries, scoring four fours. He is a type of player who can easily score a fifty off 40 balls, and on his day, he can even complete a hundred.

“I have been talking to Ishan for quite some time, even in our time with Mumbai, there are times he doesn’t play fluently but it is important to keep him calm. With Ishan, it is just about giving him time in the middle and relieve some pressure off him.”

The second T20I of the series between the Indian cricket team and the West Indies cricket team will happen on Friday in Kolkata. It will be interesting to see whether Ishan Kishan retains his spot or Ruturaj Gaikwad takes his place in the playing XI.
