Former England cricket team captain Michael Vaughan has given his honest opinion on the recent happenings in the Chennai Super Kings camp. Ravindra Jadeja, who started IPL 2022 as the captain of the franchise, handed over the reins of the team back to MS Dhoni after a disappointing performance in the first half of the season.

When he came to play for the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022, Ravindra Jadeja was in the form of his life. However, he could not make an impact as an all-rounder while leading the Chennai-based franchise. In fact, he even dropped a few catches. Many fans regard Ravindra as one of the best fielders in Indian cricket history. However, nothing worked out for the star CSK all-rounder.

To make things worse, he suffered an injury during the match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Subsequently, he was ruled out of IPL 2022. Amid all this, reports have surfaced online claiming that CSK have unfollowed Ravindra’s social media accounts. While some fans have said that the reports are wrong, Michael Vaughan feels not all is well between the two parties.

Things come to an end sometimes, and a change can be good: Michael Vaughan reflects on Ravindra Jadeja failing to make an impact in IPL 2022

During a discussion on Cricbuzz Live, Michael Vaughan opined that sometimes things come to an end because both parties are not on the same page. He felt a change can be good for both CSK and Ravindra. Here’s what he said:

There has to be a question mark over his position in CSK going forward. If it is that Jadeja has had a bit of a fallout because of the captaincy or whether he is injured, we have to wait and see what that is. It might be coming to, maybe, the end of Jadeja at Chennai. Things come to an end sometimes, and a change can be good for both the franchise and the players.”

With Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of IPL 2022, it will be interesting to see how the Chennai Super Kings perform in their remaining fixtures. They registered a big win without him against the Delhi Capitals. Tonight, CSK will be up against Mumbai Indians.
