It is the ‘family special’ week in this year’s edition of the Kaun Banega Crorepati show, and three family members were on the hot seat for this episode. They won 40,000 INR, and the next question for 80,000 INR was related to the 2023 World Cup.
It was a simple question for any cricket fan. Even a casual cricket fan might answer it, but quite surprisingly, the three family members could not answer it. The question was as follows:
“Which two teams, the finalists of the 2019 World Cup, played in the opening match of the 2023 World Cup?”
There were four options – England, Australia, England, New Zealand, England, West Indies or New Zealand-Australia.
The friend of the 3 contestants also had no idea about 2023 ODI World Cup
The 2023 World Cup is happening in India, and almost every Indian has an idea about it. However, these three contestants were clueless. They decided to video call a friend, who himself had no idea about it. Hence, they were forced to use another lifeline, which was double dip.
They first guessed the answer to be England and Australia. However, the host Amitabh Bachchan informed them that they were wrong. Next, they guessed it to be England and New Zealand. Luckily, it proved to be the right guess for them.

The contestants got it right after using two lifelines. They won the 80,000 INR prize money after answering the question correctly.
