“It’s extremely challenging” – Keegan Petersen terms Indian Bowling attack Most Challenging

South Africa’s batter Keegan Petersen has stated that the Indian bowling attack is the most challenging bowling attack that he has faced in his career so far.

The 3rd Test match between India and South Africa is on, and while on Day 1 Virat Kohli showcased his class with the bat, on Day 2, Jasprit Bumrah showcased his class with the ball as he took 5 wicket in that inning.

Thanks to a brilliant fighting inning of 79 runs from Virat Kohli, Team India managed to put up a 223 runs on the board, while South Africa got all out for 210 after a brilliant display of bowling from the Indian bowlers, giving India a 13 runs lead.

While talking to the press post the day’s play, South Batsman Keegan Petersen termed the Indian bowling attack the most challenging he has faced.

He said that the Indian pace attack is extremely challenging and is the most challenging bowling attack that he has faced in his career. He continued that one have to have focused and on mark all the time, or the Indian bowlers will expose them.

He further added that Indian pacer give not many scoring opportunities and termed them as the World’s Best Bowling attack, and rounded off saying that they knew it will be challenging and they have nothing but to deal with it.

While the South Africa batsman failed to contribute much, some even after getting a good start, Keegan Petersen did delivered for the Proteas. Petersen scored 72 runs from 166 balls, but was ultimately dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah.

As for the Indian bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah bagged his 7th Test 5 wicket haul of his career, while he got good support from Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav who both picked up 2 wickets each. Shardul Thakur got 1 while Ravichandran Ashwin remained wicektless given how the pitch was not favouring the spinners.

At the end of Day 2’s play, India have taken a lead of 70 run. However, they haven’t started well as both the openers once again departed early, for just 24 runs till the 6th over. Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara has once again taken control of the inning, and would look to put big score in the board.
