The IPL 2022 Auction is just a few days away. The mega auction will happen on February 12 and 13, with all 10 teams looking form a squad of match-winners. Two of the biggest names entering the IPL 2022 Mega Auction are former Sunrisers Hyderabad stars Jonny Bairstow and David Warner. Kolkata Knight Riders might target one of them.
Although the duo of Warner and Bairstow performed exceptionally well for the Hyderabad-based franchise, the Orange Army did not retain them ahead of the mega auction. The Hyderabad-based franchise instead went for the trio of Umran Malik, Abdul Samad and captain Kane Williamson.
Neither Ahmedabad nor Lucknow showed interest in signing the two foreign batters, which is why they are available for the mega auction now. Recently, the Kolkata Knight Riders posted a special image on Instagram and asked their fans to name the players they want to see in the KKR jersey this year.
A fan answered to the question with Jonny Bairstow’s name and one more fan came up with David Warner’s name in the comments box.

Interestingly, the admin of the Kolkata Knight Riders team pinned the Jonny Bairstow comment and hinted that he could open the innings for the team alongside the hard-hitting Venkatesh Iyer.
“The left-right combination!”- KKR replied.
The admin did not pin the comment for David Warner and gave a reply which some fans may think was more focused on KKR’s mock auction promotion.
“That will be great! Have you suggested it through KKR Mock Auction?”- KKR replied to fan who wanted Warner in the team.
