Kuldeep Yadav’s lookalike spotted playing for Sri Lanka in T20I against Australia

The T20i series between Australia and Sri Lanka got underway earlier today at the Sydney Cricket Ground. This series will help both Australia and Sri Lanka finalize their combinations for the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled to happen later this year. Also, it will help the Sri Lankan players adjust their game to the Australian conditions.

The match happened at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The home side batted first and scored 149 runs in the first innings, riding on a half-century from opening batter Ben McDermott. Marcus Stoinis backed him up with a 17-ball 30, while debutant Josh Inglis scored a 18-ball 23.

The visitors did a decent job in the bowling department. Wanindu Hasaranga continued his excellent form with a three-wicket haul, while Dushmantha Chameera, Binura Fernando and Chamika Karunaratne took two wickets each. Fans noticed a similarity between Fernando and Indian left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

Just after seeing the similarity, a Twitter user posted the photo of Fernando on his feed from the match that happened at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He pointed out the similarity between him and Kuldeep Yadav in the caption of the tweet.

Sri Lanka lost to Australia despite a good bowling performance

While the bowlers restricted Australia to 149, the batters managed only 122 runs for the islanders. The away team lost the game by 20 runs by DLS method as the Australian cricket team took a 1-0 lead in the T20I series. Adam Zampa won the Man of the Match for his 3/18 and said:

“It’s a world class bowling attack. To have those guys up the other end building pressure. That pressure built up tonight and I was lucky enough to be on the end of a couple of wickets.”
