    Ashwin has decided to continue playing club cricket, but he will never be seen in the Indian jersey ever again. His last appearance in Tests and ODIs came against Australia. In the Test format, his last appearance was in a pink-ball game in Adelaide, while in ODIs, he last played for India in the 2023 World Cup group stage match in Chennai. His last T20I appearance was also at Adelaide Oval against England in the 2022 T20 World Cup semifinals.
