One such name that performed brilliantly in the IPL 2023 was Gujarat Titans’ pacer Mohit Sharma. The veteran pacer picked up 25 wickets and was one of the reasons that GT qualified for the finals. Notably, Mohit was part of the Chennai Super Kings from 2013 to 2019.

Mohit said that whenever they interact, they don’t speak about the game at all. He also said that many times after the game, MSD has given him advice on how he can evolve personally as well. However, the pacer also revealed how he felt when he joined CSK for the first time.
Mohit said that he was nervous when he joined the CSK setup because it had MS Dhoni and other big names. That is why he used to stay with Ranji players and players at his level. The pacer said, “There’s not just Mahi Bhai in CSK. There are many people who I grew up watching play cricket, like Stephen Fleming, Michael Hussey, and Dwayne Bravo. Mahi bhai’s aura has become similar to how we felt about wishing to meet Sachin Paaji [Tendulkar] at least once..”
