Mayank didn’t had the best of start to the New Zealand series as the right-hand opening batsman could only 30 runs in the first Test match in Kanpur.

However, he made a solid comeback in the next match in Mumbai and played a match winning knock of 150 runs in the 1st inning, and followed that up with another 50 plus score in the 2nd inning. Thus, India won the 2nd Test in Mumbai and also won the series.
