Not Chennai not Bangalore, Faf du Plessis reveals his favourite Cricket Ground in the World.

Faf du Plessis is arguably one of the best batsmen that South Africa has ever produced in the game. He has led the Proteas to many victories, both as a player and as a captain as well. However, he hasn’t been a part of the squad for a long time. He last played an international match for South Africa in February 2021 against Pakistan in a red-ball game.

Not just for South Africa, he has done exceptionally well in franchise cricket all over the world. That is the reason he is one of the most demanding superstars in the world. Even in the Indian Premier League, he is among the most popular overseas stars. Before the 2022 season, he was an integral part of the four-time champions, Chennai Super Kings.

However, this season, it was Royal Challengers Bangalore who signed the former South African skipper. And he captained RCB in the most recent season and Banglaore in the top four. However, in the latest interaction, Du Plessis reveals about his favourite cricket ground.

Faf Du Plessis was asked about his favourite ground in the world. And as a surprise for the fans, he didn’t take the name of Chinnaswamy Stadium or P. Chidambaram Stadium, which are the home grounds of CSK and RCB, he named the Australian cricket ground in Adelaide.

He said, “I can’t look past Adelaide. Everytime I’ve gone to Adelaide, I’ve scored a hundred. It goes down as my favourite ground. Every single time someone asks me, ‘What’s your favourite ground in the world?’ I go ‘Adelaide,’ and then ‘why Adelaide?’ I mean ‘I wanna bat there till the day I die.”

Notably, the former South African skipper scored his first international century at Adelaide Cricket Ground against Australia on November 22, 2012, in a test match. He scored an unbeaten 110 runs. Then he came back in November 2016 to score his second century at this ground.
