India won it the last time it was held in India, in 2011, when MS Dhoni took India to glory. Now, it is time for Rohit Sharma to repeat that success. India is a firm favorite to lift the trophy because of their key players returns and the support of their fans.

Meanwhile, the Indian team is preparing for the final of the Asia Cup 2023, which will be played on Sunday. India will face Sri Lanka in Colombo in the final, which will decide the champion of Asia. India is the favorite, as they already beat Sri Lanka in the Super Four.

Rohit said that no one is a favorite because all the participating teams in the coming World Cup are strong. He also revealed that he would have been a “real estate tycoon” if he had not become a cricketer. Rohit also said that winning the 2007 T20 World Cup and the Gabba Test were not big wins in his cricketing career.

However, when asked about his favorite batting partner, Rohit picked Shikhar Dhawan. He didn’t name Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill or KL Rahul, while he picked veteran left-hander. Rohit said, “We have played so many years together, and it’s a partnership that I enjoyed being a part of. He has a very infectious energy, and it’s just a lot of fun to be around him.”
