US Masters T10 started yesterday in Florida. Six franchises based out of different regions of the United States are competing in this sister league of Abu Dhabi T10. While the league’s name and host country features the United States, there are hardly any American players in the squads.
The teams majorly feature retired cricketers from India, Pakistan, South Africa, Australia and other top Test-playing nations. A few Asian and African origin players who have moved to the US are also playing in the league. The tournament also features many former IPL stars, who once played for the Mumbai Indians. Here’s a look at a playing XI of such players.
Top Order – Parthiv Patel, Richard Levi, Aaron Finch, Dwayne Smith, Robin Uthappa, Yuvraj Singh and Corey Anderson
This team is full of hard-hitting batters. Richard Levi will open the batting with Parthiv Patel, who will also keep the wickets. Former Australian batter Aaron Finch and former Indian wicketkeeper Robin Uthappa will form the middle-order along with all-rounders Dwayne Smith, Yuvraj Singh and Corey Anderson.
Bowlers – Harbhajan Singh, James Pattinson, Pawan Suyal and RP Singh
Former Indian left-arm fast bowlers Pawan Suyal and RP Singh will form the pace attack of this lineup. Suyal’s California Knights teammate James Pattinson is also a former Mumbai Indians player. Harbhajan Singh, who was the captain of the Mumbai Indians in their first ever match, is also the captain of the Morrisville Unity team in this league.
