Former Indian cricket team fast bowler RP Singh recently compared the batting styles of Manish Pandey and KL Rahul. The two batters have played a lot of cricket together for the Indian cricket team and the Karnataka domestic cricket team. Both have represented the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the past, and in IPL 2022, Pandey played under Rahul’s captaincy for the Lucknow Super Giants.

One of the main areas of concern for the two players has been that they start slow. Fans feel that Manish Pandey and KL Rahul take time to settle in the middle. As per RP Singh, there is a difference between the two players and that is Pandey loses his wicket frequently after playing at a strike rate of around 110, while Rahul sticks in the middle for a longer period and accelerates well.

Speaking on Cricbuzz Live ahead of the Indian cricket team’s T20I series against the South African cricket team, RP Singh said:

“KL Rahul has game-awareness as he picks the bowlers against whom he can take chances on a given day. If he gets out for a run-a-ball 25, we’d say that he played like Manish Pandey does. But he ticks all the boxes because he protects his wicket and knows when to accelerate.”
