The 20 teams have been divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group at the end of the first round will progress to the Super 8s round. Here’s a look at the predictions for the probable eight teams in the Super 8s round.

    1. India and Pakistan should qualify from Group A in ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Group A seems quite easy to predict. Heavyweights India and Pakistan are present in the group along with lower-ranked teams Ireland, USA and Canada. It should not be a surprise if India and Pakistan advance to the Super 8s from this group in the tournament.

    2. Australia and England should qualify from Group B in ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Group B is probably the easiest to predict in the entire competition. Ashes rivals England and Australia are present in this group with Oman, Scotland and Namibia. There is a big chance of England and Australia finishing as the top two in the standings.

    3. Group C – West Indies and New Zealand

Group C is a bit tricky to predict because home team West Indies is present with New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda and PNG. While PNG and Uganda are unlikely to make it to Super 8s, it will be a triple threat clash between the other three teams to grab the two positions. Expect New Zealand and West Indies to bag the two spots.

    4. Group D – Sri Lanka and Netherlands

Group D should be full of upsets. South Africa have a habit of choking, and they should finish below Sri Lanka and Netherlands. Even Bangladesh and Nepal do not have a great record in T20 World Cups, which is why Sri Lanka and Netherlands should qualify.
