Power Player of the Season – Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada won the Purple Cap last season but he might find it hard to get that prize again. There is too much competition, and the South African may not get as many wickets on Indian pitches. Nevertheless, he is likely to have a massive impact in many games. He could win quite a few games with his exceptional death-bowling. Hence, his name for this award.
IPL 2021 Awards: Purple Cap – Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah will come fresh from a well-deserved break and will be raring to go next season. He is a top T20 cricketer and knows his game to impact during all the situations. If you take a look at all the other bowlers around, only Bumrah seems to be in form and have the 14-game fitness at the moment. Hence, we feel he will bag the Purple Cap.
IPL 2021 Awards: Orange Cap – Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli has already announced that he would be opening the batting for RCB at IPL 2021. In the recent series against England, Virat looked to be in good form. For RCB, he will play the role of an anchor who must stay till the end. This responsibility will allow Virat to accumulate plenty of runs. Fair Play Award – Kolkata Knight Riders
A lot depends on the captain of the team to win this award. With Eoin Morgan at the helm, we can expect calmness in the KKR camp. This is likely to translate on the field, as well. Hence, the men from Kolkata have a good chance of winning this honour.
IPL Winner – Mumbai Indians
Not only are they likely to dominate most of the IPL 2021 Awards, but we might also witness them winning the third trophy on the trot. Most of the other teams have a weakness or two but MI seems rock solid. Only Delhi Capitals come close but even they do not have Shreyas Iyer and have a new captain. Hence, all of this could help Rohit Sharma win another IPL trophy.
