Riyan Parag’s tirade: It is apparent how Indian cricket has been stumbling in recent days with some mediocre batting despite blitzkrieg starts from Rohit Sharma. India’s shape has worsened in England as they suffered two consecutive batting collapses in a span of just three days.

With all said and done, India still has the best batsman in the world in their echelons who goes by the name of Virat Kohli. Sadly, for him too, he has also struggled with the bat and has been dismissed in a similar fashion throughout the series.

Despite a poor showdown in England so far, Kohli is undoubtedly one of the most phenomenal batsmen with 22999 international runs and 70 centuries under his belt. The figures are too overwhelming to be denied.

At the same time, other stalwarts of the Indian middle-order have struggled too with the likes of Pujara and Rahane barely scraping through. Pujara’s exemplifying 91 in the second innings of the third Test will spark a few hopes but other than that, India hasn’t really been able to flap their wings.

Riyan Parag out the disdain exhibited towards Kohli

However, with all the cacophony around the cricketers, there are a few people who believe that they should have been the one to be in the place of Virat Kohli and that would have saved India the face of humiliation.

Recently, a reporter told Kohli that India is missing out on a lot of runs that should have been converted in the first place. Kohli attempted to explain a couple of technical aspects of the game and he was schooled by a reporter about how exactly India must have batted.

Riyan Parag, Rajasthan Royals all-rounder spoke up about this as he was definitely not happy about someone teaching Virat Kohli about batting. Kohli is one of the finest batsmen in the world and he continues to be a leader in the batting charts.

Parag took to Twitter, citing, “I’m a nobody….par imo asking questions is fine but why share opinions or yk tell the best players in the world what to do. Just doesn’t make sense no?”

India will be taking the field for the fourth Test match against England at the Oval and they will have some important amends to make.
